Terminator: Duplex vs Rend, Explained

The Terminator is the endgame shortbow and the actual DPS weapon for Kuudra Tier 5. Its two builds solve the same fight differently:
Duplex (the standard build)
- Arrows bounce back and hit again — you kill over repeated shots.
- Boss-phase loop: rag axe → damage the terror → drain mana with an Endstone Sword → drop the SOS flare → spam the Duplex Terminator.
- Forgiving, no stat contortions — run this unless you know why you want Rend.
Rend (the one-tap build)
- Stores damage, releases it in one huge shot.
- Strict requirements: exactly 0 ferocity, 200% crit chance, 1851+ mana, run with a Reaper set + Blaze pet; build stored damage with Atomsplit Katana + Backbone + Endstone Sword, then one-tap with the Rend Terminator.
- Faster clears in coordinated parties; falls apart if any requirement slips.
Common mistake: treating the Last Breath as the Kuudra weapon. It is a utility bow (Duplex 1 + Piercing 1) for applying arrow poison — the Terminator does the killing.
