Fishing money scales sharply with progression: early fishing is pocket change, while endgame lava fishing and trophy fishing in the Crimson Isle are serious income. The money comes from three streams:
- Sea creature drops — rare creatures drop valuable items; the rarer the creature pool you can access, the better.
- Trophy fishing (Crimson Isle) — trophy fish sell to the shop and unlock rewards; diamond-tier trophies are the chase.
- Event fishing — Fishing Festival and Marina spikes multiply sea creature rates; always fish during them.
What makes rates jump
- A better rod (see the rod progression — Rod of the Sea for water, dedicated lava rods for Crimson Isle).
- Sea Creature Chance from armor, equipment and pets — it is THE fishing stat for money.
- Fishing in the right water: Crimson Isle lava outclasses early waters once unlocked.
Fishing is slower but far more AFK-friendly than Kuudra or slayers — lower coins/hour, much lower effort per hour. Good "second monitor" money.
