How to Make Money Mining (and What to Skip)

Mining money comes from selling what you mine and find. With maxed gear the main methods are:

Other real income while mining
- Crystal Hollows chest loot — robot/precursor parts from the Precursor Remnants sell well.
- Glacite mineshaft corpse loot — Glacite Tunnels at HOTM 7+.
- Rare drops — Shattered Locket, Divan armor pieces.
Powder is NOT money
Mithril, Gemstone and Glacite powder are soulbound progression currencies. You need them for Heart of the Mountain perks, but they never convert to coins. Any list that ranks "powder mining" as a money method is wrong.
Getting to profitable mining
The path: Dwarven Mines commissions to level HOTM, drill progression (Mithril Drill → Titanium DRX line → Divan's Drill), Glacite armor → Sorrow → Divan's. A Scatha pet is the best all-round mining pet for money. Full detail in the mining gear progression guide.
