SkyBlock Beginner Guide: Your First Week, Done Right

SkyBlock is enormous, and most beginner mistakes are just doing things in the wrong order. This is the order.

Day one

1. Clear your island basics and head to the Hub — the island is a base, not the game.
2. Touch every gathering skill once (mining, farming, foraging) to unlock collections — collections unlock recipes, which unlock everything.
3. Start foraging for your first coins — no gear needed, 1-3M/hour.

Your first week

• Minions: place and upgrade them early — they are your only fully passive income and compound forever.
• Combat basics: level combat in the Hub/Spider's Den until early slayers open; start Zombie Slayer when bosses die fast.
• Mining path: reach the Dwarven Mines and do daily commissions — 5 minutes/day of compounding progress.
• Do not buy shiny endgame items early; every coin reinvested in your current tier progresses faster.

Early money (foraging/hunting) → skills + minions → slayers and dungeons open → mid-game money (pest farming, mining, low slayers) → F5-F7 dungeons gear → Crimson Isle and Kuudra → endgame money (Blaze, Kuudra).

FAQ

What should a new player NOT do?

Gamble on the auction house, rush a Hyperion, or grind powder thinking it is money. Boring reinvestment wins.
